Description

The Vent series is named after the Danish word for wait - a nod to its origins as seating conceived for leisurely viewing artworks at museums. Handmade in collaboration with a local workshop for the blind and sight impaired, the designs marry form with function. Set on a slender, painted steel frame, the seat of the minimalist, two-seater Vent Bench is woven by hand from paper cord. Comfortable to sit on and beautiful to look at, it elevates surroundings whether in a public setting or home space. The Vent Bench is designed by the Danish/Swedish furniture designer Chris Liljenberg Halstrom.
